GSR 2018 – The Brap Pack!

Date

Thursday, 17 May 2018 7:00 AM

Lou Wisea has planned GSR 2018 in celebration of Oedipus turning 60 this year!

Details are on their Facebook Event:

https://www.facebook.com/events/332159803876678/

Please join us in sunny Palm Springs for the 17th annual edition of this fabulous annual event.

Our anchor hotel is Canyon Club – a gay resort quite close to downtown. It has 32 rooms of various types, all wide open as of today. Reservations are first-come, first-served, rates range from $89-225 per night. There is a 1-night deposit and a 72-hour cancellation, so if you are solid or strong for this event, reserve now. If you would like to stay elsewhere, there are a wide variety of milder/wilder choices nearby. 2018 is Oedipus’ 60th anniversary, and it is quite possible the weekend will include some sort of celebratory element TBD. That said, as of now, the weekend looks like this:

THURSDAY – First arrivals, dinner in town somewhere.
FRIDAY – Morning ride to Joshua Tree/29 Palms. Afternoon excursion on the Palm Springs Tramway to Mt San Jacinto. BBQ Dinner on property.
SATURDAY – Morning ride to Idylwild, returning after lunch via the Pines To Palms Highway. For the ambitious, an extended afternoon ride to Hemet/Temecula and return. Dinner & Entertainment at the Spa Resort Casino.
SUNDAY – Departure

As always, this event is a la carte, you may choose to attend as many or few events as you want. Look for warm-but-not-unreasonable weather—this is the same weekend as this year’s event, and Fres-Yes, Kernville and Palm Springs were all about the same temperature that weekend.
Looking forward to seeing old friends, making new ones, and enjoying the rides and camaraderie!

Your hosts,
Howard Ferguson
